Internationally renowned as a director, photographer and fine artist, Eugenio Recuenco began his career in his hometown of Madrid via a collaboration with Vogue Spain; a slew of international fashion magazine associations followed, including GQ, Madame Figaro, Marie Claire2, Kult, Planet, Spoon, Stern, Twill, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Vogue UK, Wad and Zink. In 2008, Eugenio’s beguiling surrealist short, “The Essence of Seduction” for Loewe Perfume, gained wide recognition in Spain where it was honored as the best advertising of the year, and in the Mexico City International Film Festival where it took the top prize for short film. Eugenio has shot print campaigns for Diesel, Yves Saint Laurent, PlayStation, Le Bon Marché, and Pernod Ricard and helmed spot projects for Chivas Regal, Regione Campania, Freixenet, Mango, Codorniu, Vanderbilt and Motorola, bringing a nontraditional, painterly quality to their campaigns. He has recently completed the short film, “Manuscript Trouvé Dans L´Oubli”, and is currently working on his first feature, (W)HOLE TIME.
