FRANCIS LAWRENCE TEAMS UP WITH JASON MAMOA FOR HIS NEXT FEATURE
We have learned that Francis Lawrence is set to direct an adaption of Windsor Mccay’s ‘Little Nemo In Slumberland’ for Chernin Entertainment and Netflix. The film will follow the story of the book where a young girl, Nema, with the help of a large half-man/half-monster creature, travels to a mystical land in her dreams in search of her missing father.
Jason Momoa will play the lead supporting male character, Flip the creature, who is described as a “nine-foot tall creature that is half-man, half-beast, has shaggy fur and long curved tusks.” The creature will be created using CGI with sources saying that the film will be another of Netflix’s many high budget productions in development. Momoa last worked with Francis Lawrence on his Apple TV+ series ‘See’ and will likely begin prep on this film once the second season of ‘See’ wraps filming.
